The vessel rises tall and straight-walled, its rim eased by hand. Midnight blue fills the upper body — dense, speckled, weather-heavy. Near the base the color breaks open: rust orange, jade, and opaque white collide in soft geological slabs, anchored by a clear foot. These larger shapes are shards — thin sheets of colored glass picked up on the hot gather, then stretched as the bubble inflated. What looks painted is actually pulled. Paul Lasman builds by feel, not plan. The horizon landed where the glass wanted it.
