The piece stands tall with a soft outward flare, the rim a touch uneven where it was opened by hand. Emerald and jade fold through the walls in loose currents, lit by clear passages that act like sunlight through leaves. The color was laid on as crushed glass frit, rolled onto the gather while hot, then blown out until the chips stretched into weather. Thick base, warm weight. Paul Lasman works without a sketch. The glass kept moving until it cooled.
